This Consultancy Agreement is designed to be used where a consultant provides consultancy services to a client and is drafted on the basis that the consultant is genuinely self-employed and is not an employee or a worker of the client.

 A consultancy arrangement may be an attractive option for both client and consultant, in part because of the tax advantages. On the other hand, the intellectual property in material created by an employee during the course of his/her employment belongs by law to the employer.
